Race Bib Holder

I have a pile of race bibs and medals that I don't know what to do with.
Do I scrapbook them?  Throw them in a box?  Throw them away?
I just heard you gasp!!!
Well, I found this on etsy.  I love it.  The only thing that I would love more is a place to hang my medals.  I might have to make something similar to this but add a hook or two at the bottom of the plaque to hang them on.

Play Room

Welcome to our play room!!!
This has been quite a project and we are finally done and ready to play.
Side note:  My girls always end up together at night so we moved them into the same room and now use M's room as a play room.  The tree on the wall matched her bedding {it was painted freehand by me and my friend, Jen C}.
I didn't want to paint over it so we left it.
They now play in there for hours and LOVE IT!  I do, too!
I spray painted this piece of metal {found at Home Depot} and hung it on the wall to hang the kids' art work!  I purposely hung it high enough
that my girls couldn't reach it so that their art wouldn't get ruined.
My dad made these STRONG magnets.  Super neat.
I found this frame at a thrift store, removed the glass
and lovely picture, and spray painted it white.
I LOVE SPRAY PAINT!
I found this darling owl at the Quilted Bear {Craft Boutique}
and hung him with my favorite things.

I wanted a little more pink so I took embroidery floss and pink circle stickers and added some decoration to the ceiling.  I used two dots for
every dot and sandwiched the floss in the middle of them.
I love how it turned out.
I used clear push pins, wrapped the floss around them, and
pushed them into the area where the wall and ceiling meet.
*So far it has held up great.

The desk was a gift.  The girls use it all the time for playing and coloring.
Our beanbag is from Target.
It makes a great spot to read!
Thanks for visiting today - stop by again and play.

Most of the time the playroom looks like this!!!
I love having all the toys in one room and that I can just close the door!

Neat Paint Project

I love to paint.  When I find a new technique I have to share.
I found this at sawdustandembryos.com
She painted her walls with flat paint then bought the
same color in high gloss for the swirls.
Great idea.  Check out her blog for more great DIY projects.

Prints can be found here.  Kiki now has a new print.
Super cute.

I've Got To Make This!

As I have mentioned before I love Huggies baby wipes.  I always have them on hand.  I have found that they clean everything from bums to pen on a chair. I have got to make this "wipe band".  This is such a great idea because it looks like a decoration instead of a tube of wipes.
 Super cute!

Banner

I found a great deal on paper letters at the expo
(I can't remember who was selling them).  When I got home I wanted to
make something with them, so I made a banner.  I made this a few
weeks ago in hope that Spring would come soon!

I threaded a needle with embroidery floss, and
sewed through my letters like this.
There is no need for glue or tape
(that way if I need to use the letter again, I can).
Then I hung it over my back door!
I want to give 2 letter packages away to 2 of my followers.
Leave me a comment and tell me what you would do with the letters.
I will let you know our winners at the end of the week.

*YOU MUST BE A FOLLOWER TO PARTICIPATE*
*Winner's prize might be a different color*

Door to Headboard

A few years ago we needed a headboard for our bed.  We didn't want to spend much money on it so I made my own headboard using an old door that I found.  I wish I had the before pics cause this door is very old.  I spent a lot of time sanding it down to the wood then painting it black.  After I was done painting it, my dad helped me attach two pieces of wood on the back side that connect to the bed frame.
I really love how it turned out.

Weekend Project

Shelley from House of Smiths is in the process of redoing her master bathroom.  I decided that we need to redo our bathroom floor, too!  Why?  Because when we moved in, the previous owners didn't tell us that there was a rug stain on the floor.  It has been hidden under our rug, too!
Check out her husband's tutorial here.
It was really easy to do and I love how it turned out.
Cost - $43

M's Room

Here is M's room before we turned it into a play room (pics of that soon).
Her Bed! Sheet found at Target. Ruffel found at Pottery Barn.
I sewed a ribbon to her bed ruffle.  It needed a little pink!
I wish I would have taken a before pic of her dresser/changing table when I first bought it.  It was dark purple and one drawer was broken. Other than that it is in awesome shape.  I found it for 20 bucks!  I painted it pink then distressed it with brown glaze, added new knobs, and covered a piece of wood to fit in the broken drawer spot to be used as a shelf.
Knobs found at Hobby Lobby.  They have a GREAT selection of knobs.
Window coverings found at Downeast.  It needed something more so I headed back to Downeast and found sheer curtains.
I had a small rod so I used wire and attached it to the existing rod for a double rod like this.  Now I can open up the green curtain and have the sheer curtain stay in place.
A friend of mine made a mobile for a shower gift and I had to make one for M.  She loved it.  She loved to blow and make it move.  So cute.  I couldn't find matching paper or anything similar to her bedding so I took her sheet up to the local print shop and color copied it to make matching paper!  I also covered her wet wipe case with the same paper.  You can also shrink the size or blow it up for different looks.
Thanks Jen for helping me paint the matching tree.  I love it!
Chair found at RC Willey's.
